Yoon Yati
Building at the intersection of AI, education, and access.
About
I’m a sophomore at Stanford studying computer science with a concentration in AI - but most of my energy goes into making good education reach the students who are usually left out.
As founder and CTO of Kyaung.org, I build an ed-tech platform that delivers video-based curriculum - Pre-GCSE, GCSE, and A-Level - to students across Myanmar. The hard part isn’t the lessons; it’s getting them to play on a patchy connection. So the whole system is engineered for high-latency, low-bandwidth reality.
That work is also why I’m a Resolution Project Fellow, Class 17 and a RISE Fellow, where I focus on educational equity in conflict-affected communities. I care about access as an engineering problem and a human one.
Off-screen, you’ll find me on a climbing wall, working through a crochet pattern, or somewhere outside. I like things that reward patience and a steady hand.

Kyaung.org
Founder & CTO
An ed-tech platform delivering a full video-based curriculum to students in Myanmar. Pre-GCSE through A-Level lessons engineered to play on the connections students actually have - using edge caching, aggressive video compression, and a low-bandwidth delivery pipeline.

Resolution Project Fellowship
Fellow, Class 17
A fellowship for student social entrepreneurs. My focus: educational equity in conflict-affected communities, turning access into something engineered rather than assumed.

Resolution Project Fellow
Class 17
The Resolution Project backs young leaders launching ventures with real social impact. My fellowship centers on educational equity in conflict-affected communities - the same belief that drives Kyaung.org: that where a student lives should never decide what they get to learn.

RISE Fellow
RISE for the World
RISE for the World is a global scholarship and fellowship program that finds and supports talented young people from anywhere in the world, then invests in them for life as they work to better their communities.
